Today marks the second anniversary of Jillian's birth. It's as if I blinked just after she was born, and suddenly arrived at this point. At the age of 2, Jillian is so many things....charming, funny, persistent, beautiful, sweet, strong-willed, determined, intuitive, intense, energetic, routinized, exuberant....it's difficult to find the words that truly embody what a special little person she really is. Being her mother is the adventure of a lifetime, and a blessing that keeps me perched on the tips of my toes. I wouldn't have it any other way. Happy Birthday, sweet baby, may you always know how much you are loved.
