Minnesota Zoo

Matt had the day off today, so we drove up to the Minnesota Zoo to check it out. Jillian seemed to enjoy the experience overall, but had a bit of trouble (read tantrums) understanding that sometimes she needed to get back in the stroller to be transported long distances between exhibits. It is easy to feel as though your kid is the only kid screaming, though I am sure that is not the case. The protests thankfully improved as the day went on.
Jillian's favorite exhibit was the farm. She loved seeing the cows and pigs up close and always exclaimed, "poop! pee-shoo!" to let you know she thought the barn just plain stunk every time we entered. She even got to pet a baby chick (poor chick barely made it out alive of that experience--the petting was more like a beating). But it was the goats ("doats") that really made her day. She loved petting them, chasing them, and most of all...feeding them right out of her own hand.

Perhaps she has a future in goat herding?
