Have you ever wondered about the genetics of a unicorn? Well look no further, we have the answer for you here at the Howe home! You may recall that Jillian selected a lovely unicorn while at the Teddy Bear Connection in Des Moines over Easter weekend, and that she named her Pinkie. Pinkie is lucky enough to be a part of the entourage of "friends" that accompany Jillian to sleep each night, and we have to make sure that she is in her rightful place in the bed. The other day Jillian asked, "Where's Pinkie's mommy is?" I told her I didn't know who Pinkie's mommy was, and that was a rather unacceptable answer. She got out of bed, dug around and proudly found her, the "friend" who unbeknownst to me is Pinkie's mommy. This label became consistent, and soon Matt would know that this friend was also Pinkie's mommy. A few days later, as we were searching through the covers for all the friends, Jillian exclaimed, "Oh! There's Pinkie's daddy!" Again, news to me, but she was sure of it. It's nice to know that Pinkie is part of one big happy family, and that Jillian ensures they are together each night before going to sleep. Very sweet. By now you must be dying to know just who the parents of Pinkie are, so without further ado, here is a picture of who we now call The Royal Family....

L to R: Pinkie's Mommy, Pinkie herself, and Pinkie's Daddy. It must be so obvious to you now, right? Blond ballerina doll marries red sock monkey, and they create a beautiful pink unicorn child. Why didn't I think of that??
