Today we made a second attempt to discover the sex of our baby. Once again, the baby decided to keep its legs crossed in true modest fashion. So, either it's a girl and is quite ladylike already, or it's a boy that's just as private as his father. I think that perhaps this is our punishment for having the resources to look early. Matt said now he's less sure of the sex than before (he thought perhaps he saw some indications of a boy the first time) because he said there were a couple of instances where he thought he should have seen something and nothing was there....who knows. We did notice an increase in size since we last took a peek 2 weeks ago and the baby was moving a lot more--punching at me with both hands, moving its head, it even had a couple of hiccoughs. Anyhow, once again a huge thank you to Emily for scanning me, and for her willingness to keep trying! It's so nice to be able to take an unhurried look at our little creation. We really appreciate it! Enjoy the photos...
Here's a nice profile shot

Looks like a happy kid!

It looks like he/she is kissing the placenta

Here's a hand and some ribs

A hand and the whole arm--you can count all 5 fingers and see the radius and ulna (bones of the forearm)

This one's my favorite--it looks like the baby's trying to stand up and bend over. You can see the entire body, head to toes

Wow so amazing. These are so clear. Fingers, ribs, toes- everything. Well except for that one detail! That is my favorite one too, with he/she bending over. Baby Howe is very cute!
