Next stop was the age-segregated egg hunt. Here she finds her first egg (with lots direction from us) in the window sill.
Jillian was up and at 'em ready to go at the painful hour of 5:30 this morning. I caught proof of her early fatigue as she paused from the egg hunt to rub her eyes.
Catching a glimpse of her "beautiful Punzel hair" in the mirror
After she found 10 eggs, it was time to empty them and collect the loot.
Next it was off to play some carnival-type games. She tried her hand at the carrot toss...
And dug for some "gold"
Daddy helped her with her golf game...
And she cracked me up with her enthusiastic and surefire approach to bowling.
Soon it was time to enter the coloring contest.
A peek at the finished product. Perhaps a bit reflective of Jackson Pollock's style?
Finally, it was time for the highlight of the morning: The Teddy Bear Band! We had never seen these guys perform, so I wasn't prepared. They invite kids to bring their teddy bears to the show. Luckily for Jillian, they had plenty of extras to share (much to germaphobe Mommy's chagrin. I just cringed and let her enjoy.). She happily parked herself on top of their large panda and cuddled some extras before the show.
All the kids had a great time during the show. Jillian had a bit of trouble following the directions of the band--no matter what action they requested (shaking hips, clapping, jumping, etc), she broke it on down with her trademark spin.
We ran some errands after the Eggstravaganza and then headed out to our favorite weekend lunch spot. Jillian insisted she wasn't tired, but this view of her in the backseat on the way home suggested otherwise.
After nap Matt took her to the RAC to go swimming while I cooked dinner. As we finished dinner and prepared to start the bedtime routine (an hour later than normal), we commented on what a fun, busy day we had together and that she surely must be tired. Jillian wasted no time before exclaiming, "I want to go to the mall!" This girl has endless energy. Let it be known that her parents do not!

What a day! She looks so cute with her curly hair. Came across a picture last night of Matt and I am sending it. Hair is identical. She is quite a good bowler too. Hugs to all and Happy Easter.
