Daddy competed in a triathlon today! It was a sprint triathlon that consisted of a 500 M swim, a 14 mile bike, and a 5 K run. We trucked it down to Des Moines on the 4th to spend the night with Grammy and Grandad, before heading over to Gladbrook, IA early on the 5th for the Cornman Triathlon (gotta love that title). Thanks to some faulty directions and poor map reading skills on my part, we barely made it in time! Thankfully, all ended well. Daddy beat his goal time and finished in 1 hr 34 minutes (and that is including having to stop 3 separate times on the bike ride due to flat tires!) Jillian and I are very proud of him! Here are some photos from the event.
Where is Daddy? Can you find him? (hint: yellow swim cap and full wetsuit) All lined up and ready to start.

Here he comes out of the water--in second place for his division, beating many red-capped men that started several minutes before!
