Farewell, First Trimester!

Today marks the official end of my first trimester! It's been full of excitement, anxiety, dry heaving, wonder, after-work naps, weird pains, happiness, retching, pop-tart eating, late night bathroom trips, crankiness, vomiting, occasional emotional outbursts, and let's not forget to mention the acne :) Although it felt painfully slow at times, it really did go fast. It's amazing to me how much my body is already changing. Last night as we were laying in bed, Matt reached over to pat my belly and said "Whoa! That got big this week!" He's right. As we were standing outside with the neighbors, Julianne said, "Oh my gosh you can totally see your belly in that shirt!" Little Kate in her 5 year old wisdom exclaimed, "It's so exciting!!!" I couldn't have said it better myself. Here's a pic to commemorate the day.
