A Visit from Grandma and Pop Pop

Grandma and Pop Pop came all the way from Maryland to visit us over the holiday weekend. Jillian had a blast with them, and certainly soaked up the extra attention!

She and Grandma spent lots of time playing on the floor



Pop Pop has the best whiskers...Jillian was fascinated!


The weather was quite nice here in the tundra, so we spent lots of time on the deck. We even blew bubbles--yipee!



Jillian slept through most of her first trip to a zoo when we ventured to Oxbow Park on Sunday. Luckily, she woke in time to witness the porcupine climb up its cage and flash its orange teeth...

found the snakes to be oh-so-funny..

and posed for a three generation photo with Grandma and Daddy


But most of all, she enjoyed lots of snuggle time.


It was hard to say goodbye, but we look forward to our trip to Maryland later this summer!
